Console mode - Bind to specific IP address

Postby joske88 » Thu Jan 22, 2009 10:55 am

Hi,

I'm using the 1.03 version on Ubuntu Server.

When starting PMS, i see it binds to the wrong IP address:

[main] TRACE 10:46:17.146 Using address /192.168.10.1 found on network interface: name:tun0 (tun0) index: 4 addresses: /192.168.10.1;
[main] TRACE 10:46:17.146 Created socket: /192.168.10.1:5001

It should bind to my eth0 interface. Is there any way to force it to use another interface, maybe by using a PMS.conf?

Anyone have a template of this PMS.conf as it wasn't included in the release?

Look under General Configuration and change your network settings there.

The second line of the PMS.conf file is where you can specify an IP address. It's called hostname. At the bottom of the same conf file add the following line network_interface = (interface name).
