PMS on a QNAP 259Pro+

Postby dkriener » Tue May 15, 2012 12:51 pm

Hi everybody,

PMS is working here on a QNAP 250 Pro+ in Version 1.20.412.

In this version i have three problems:

1) In a folder with ~50 videos it only shows me 19 movie files in the transcoding menu. When deleting on of the first movies, the next in the list is shown, but always just 19 movies.

2) When playing a movie with transcoding and stopping the movie i couldn't play it any more. In the tmp folder the movie is just there and look likes that it's preventing the movie from being transcoded again. Could i delete that automatically?

3) Going to 1.21.1 wich is the latest update as a qpkg, none transcoding movies are played at all on a Sharp Aquos TV. What has changed from 1.20 to 1.21 in the transcoding setting, that prevents the movies from being played probably?

Some else with these problems?

Those are severely outdated versions of PMS. Your best bet would be to get the qpkg author to update to the latest version of PMS (or you could try downloading and compiling yourself).

OK, updated to 1.30.1 and now it's working better.

Still problem Nr. 2) Is it normal, that the tmp file isn't removed when the TV stops watching the video?

That is still an old version of PMS (latest is 1.52.1 - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3507&start=20#p36904)
However, as to your issue, that file should be removed - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6014#p28247
Please post the debug.log (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3507&start=30#p38484) and make sure you have the right permissions.
