Problem with subtitles on 1.52

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install version 1.52 and try to play an .mkv with external subtitles

What is the expected output?
See the subtitles

What do you see instead?
No subtitles

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.52 (Works with 1.50.1). Gentoo.
