putting a computer to sleep with ubuntu server

hello, i'm wanting to put a computer running ubuntu server to sleep after 30m of being inactive. But what defines inactive? For this computer it would be when it isn't streaming, so I guess when the processor is at it's least inactive state. Is this possible?
