Re: Error on initiate mediafolder

WMP is not a valid renderer (use XBMC on PCs) - http://www.ps3mediaserver.org/about/
As for the java errors in the debug.log, please post the full log - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3507&start=30#p38484
I provide NO application support via PM or email, so please post your question to the forum per the Forum Rules.

What OS do you use (the log tells: OS: Linux i386 3.0.0-16-generic)? It seems it doesn't offer the 'Desktop' functionality to open the log file with the default application.
[edit] Oops misse it was Ubuntu. When testing on a virtual machine I can't reproduce this. Seems older versions work, but newer brake it (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1023 ... getdesktop)
If you always wanted to have your most recent videos at the top of the folder in the ps3 or wished you could group all videos with the same genre in one folder, have a look at pms-mlx

I've installed Ubuntu 11.10 in a VM and had the same error as you had. After having made all system updates (and possibly other things, installed eclipse etc.) it is now being opened with gedit. Is this the same for you?
There's another error with the system tray as well (java.awt.AWTException: TrayIcon couldn't be displayed.)
