I have a large collection of Xvid files, all of which play perfectly on my Panasonic TV via PMS 1.50.1. Earlier today I downloaded a few more and discovered they did not play correctly on my TV, the video is heavily corrupted and stops playing after a few seconds. They work fine on the PC. I examined the debug.log and found I was having the problem detailed here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=13468
After seeing that a fix had already been committed I downloaded the latest snapshot via git and compiled it. No video filenames come up on the tv, only the jpg's of their covers. I also tried the same thing from the svn with the same result. I was quite surprised to see that the fix had been applied to 1.50.0 in the git, but not 1.50.2 in the svn. There is no error messages or anything unusual in the debug.log for either snapshot.
I would really like to be able to view these files and would be very grateful for some help. Here is the information requested in the problem reporting guidelines:
1. Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2.66GHz, 4GB RAM, Gentoo Linux (kernel 3.0.6). PMS versions tried: current git snapshot 1.50.0 (revision unknown), current svn snapshot 1.50.2 (r1108).
java version "1.7.0_147-icedtea"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea7 2.0) (Gentoo build 1.7.0_147-icedtea-b147)
OpenJDK Server VM (build 21.0-b17, mixed mode)
2. Panasonic Viera Plasma TV, default Panasonic.conf.
3. Wireless N.
4. No transcoding.
5. Given above.
6. No relevant information.
7. I do not have mediainfo installed as it prevents PMS from being able to play videos on my TV. I can however give you the output of "file" from one of the offending videos:
RIFF (little-endian) data, AVI, 624 x 352, 25.00 fps, video: XviD, audio: MPEG-1 Layer 3 (stereo, 48000 Hz)
