Datatype not supported

just installed ps3 media server on ubuntu. it connects to the ps3 without any issue. unfortuneatly, every video i try to play exits with thats stupid 'data type is not supported' error. tested with divx, wma, and mp3. anybody have any suggestions?

Installing packages for "ffmpeg" and "mencoder" usually has a good effect.
But looking at the "trace" log in the gui or the debug.log will most liket give a very good hint at whats wrong.
