Nothing more can be done via program settings. Either add ps3mediaserver to gmone/unity autorun if you have gui, start daemon by cron several minutes after system is booted, add it to your network interface up script or use some other workaround to run program after network is fully functional.

Is there some kind of option where I can turn subtitles on?

Look into #TRANSCODE# folder.

I do have the same problem like user gauched. No changes were made. But ps3mediaserver doesn't appears on my ps3.

I've seen that java from ps3mediaserver uses from 100 to 240 percent when looking at that using htop in the console.

I have install new ppa source to instal uptodate ps3mediaserver.

I use Ubuntu 10.04.4 headless server.

What's the good way to update ?

Let's installed old pms-linux and install new, or purge old before ?

Need to save my config files ?

I have a server running Ubuntu 10.04 and I would like to use this method of installing ps3mediaserver but I have two problems.

The first being that I can't add the repos, terminal reports that the command "sudo add-apt-repository" is not recognised.

The second is that I have an old 1.3 version on there currently, do I have to uninstall it before installing the new one or will it just overwrite it?

I've just read through the topic again and it says it won't work as 10.04 is no longer supported. Is there another way I can install it with the correct version of mencoder etc. The reason being the version I have on there at the moment won't stream mpeg2 with a h264 video stream.

Because I had used the automatic package to install it, it was easy enough to uninstall through the package manager.
I thought it was best to uninstall it as the manual installation uses different file paths (it could probably be installed manually with the same paths as the automatic process if you understand enough about Ubuntu).
