PMS on Linux Mint (Lisa)

I am new to Linux, in fact just installed the latest version of Linux Mint. While I am getting the advantages of package software handling in Linux, I am not yet skilled enough to compile the PMS package (including all necessary plugins, etc) myself.
Does such a package exist already?
If not can someone help me in compiling one? I saw some links in the sticker thread on this forum but the links are old and when I followed them I saw that most files have not been updated since 2009 / 10. I would like to have a new package compiled that APT would recognize and auto-update as necessary.
