Hello,
I've switched from Windows 7 to Linux Mint a few days ago. Under Windows 7 everything works flawless, so the setup itself isn't the issue.
I connect my laptop with my PS3 through a D-Link Switch without internet connection. After that I put the PS3 on the cable network (without internet ofc). On windows the ps3 media server finds the PS3 and the way around, sadly on the linux version this isn't working. He just keeps searching but finds nothing (even when waiting 10 min).
Anybody has experienced this problem ?
PS : I can't connect my PS3 with my laptop wirelessly because there is no (consumer)router on the market strong enouf to stream 1080p video. I even bought a Linksys E4200 to test it out but sadly only a wired network can deliver 1080p without stutter or lag.
