PS3mediaServer on Arch - Cant stream video!

Postby MrLoranZ » Tue Mar 10, 2009 9:47 am

I have PMS folder is in /opt/PMS

When I start the program by being in the directory /opt/PMS and write sh PMS.sh or ./PMS.sh everything works perfectly and I can stream video to my ps3.
But if I start the program by being in / home and type sh /opt/PMS/PMS.sh the program also start fine, but I get errors when I stream video. My tsMuxer is set to execute..
And get the same error in the automatic start of sessions...

What I want is that the program starts automatically and I can stream movies from all folders. All my movies are in 4 different NTFS disks.

Hope there is someone who can help :)

PMS cant find TsMuxer if the program is not started from the directory where "./linux/TsMuxer" is the right path.

For you that means you could just add "cd /opt/PMS" as the first executable line in PMS.sh, then the java-application part will be started from the correct place.

For how to start it at boot up, you need to look at how Arch linux starts other network-services like ftp, ssh or apache.
