you need to have root privileges to run zypper (if you have it), otherwise use yast (as root) and go to Software -> Online Update. Maybe you need to check/update your repositories but there's more than enough info on the opensuse forums to help you with that.

i'm running into the same issues updating transmission.
zypper is not in the image and and even yast -i zypper wont install it.
seem to be missing some repository but i don't know which ones

Browse to this url with a browser on your PMServ system and use the Direct Install option:
http://software.opensuse.org/package/transmission
If you're not running 12.1, select the right version (probably 11.4) from the "Show other versions" list.

I realise this thread is a bit long in the tooth; but it seemed the most appropriate place to ask.
Unless Ive done something wrong; the default download for this project is still running Opensuse 11.3?
What is the simplest way to update v12? Or am I better off either a) just leaving it be, b) ripping it down, doing a fresh OpenSuse install, and installing PMS from scratch?
Is this project supported anymore?

Hey there

i finally worked up to installing this distro. great release by the way. i was just wondering. i cannot seem to play mp4's. i tried playing through the transcode as well but with no luck. is this specific to encoder issue or am i missing any additional files.
