x264 videos--> grey screen

Hello

I use pms 1.52.1 on an intel atom d525 synology NAS.
I compiled mplayer SVN-r34883-4.2.1
During compilation i checked eveything is detected (libfaac, libx264....), but I still can't play x264 movies via psm. It only gives me a grey screen. sound and subtitle work, though, but image is all greyed with some blocks / pixels moving.

Anything I should re-re-re-check?

Thanks very much, x264 is widely used and I usually like its quality / size ratio.
