Movies downloaded of PSN. Is it possible to stream?

Hey all,

I was wondering, is it possible to download a movie off of PSN and move it to a hard drive and stream it using PS3 Media Server? I notice I have the ability to back-up the movie onto a USB stick so I was wondering if it's possible to transfer to my PC and stream it that way.

Anyone?

Well, you can try it, but I think anything you buy is DRMed, so the 'backup' is likely to be a file only playable on your PS3 when you're logged in. Game trailers, etc. should just be regular .avi or .mp4 files. Let us know how it goes...
