PLEASE HELP I HAVE TRIED ALMOST EVERYTHING

So i have had thousands of issues with trying to stream content between my ps3 and pc. I am running windows 7 ultimate and my ps3 has the most up to date software. ive read a couple forums on how to make this work but with no success at the moment. I've done everything from downgrading to windows media player 11 to reformatting my computer. My computer doesnt recognize my ps3 as a wireless device on the home network. It never has. They are both connected to the same internet connection wirelessly. My media streaming is turned on and my computer recognizes its own servers but not a ps3 server. i tried using vuze but i couldnt figure out how to add to my ps3 media server which brings me to the next software PS3 Media Server. I will get messages like "Another media renderer other than PS3 has been detected... .This software is tuned for PS3 but may work with your renderer" Or it just wont detect the PS3 at all. It detects a media renderer but it says unknown rendurer. I having a lot of issues with this guys. Day in and day out i have tried to connect. Tried calling 4 different tech support lines but you know how that goes..... everyone passes the buck instead of dealing with your issue..... you get the common saying "we dont support it". im sick of this. someone save me

but still says my ps3 isnt detected

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I had the same problem the first time I tried using PS3MediaServer. No matter what I do, It just won't find my PS3.
Then I tried to change some value in "General Configuration" tab.
I changed "Force IP of the server" setting to my mac's ip address. My mac and PS3 were connected to the same router via Wi-Fi.
I set up my mac ip address to 192.168.1.103 and my PS3 to 192.168.1.105
Then I put my mac ip address ( 192.168.1.103 ) in the "Force IP of the server" field and voila ! the PS3MediaServer finally founds my PS3
dunno if it will works for you but it's worth the try

I had that problem, well sort of still do, i have to turn off my avg firewall,and then it comes up, it also allows me to view the windows media on the ps3, but as soon as i put my firewall back on ,my ps3 can not find ps3 media player or the windows media player, over all when i want to i can still do what ever i need to do, just a bit of fuck around sometimes...

I have win 7....firewall is the problem. Allow the exception.

You should check your firewall settings and make sure Java is allowed to pass through. I had this problem and after allowing the connection, the media server worked.
