PS3 Media Server Will Not Open in Windows 7
I can not get media server to open so I can see it in windows7. I click on its icon but it will not open. I go into "Services" under PS3 Media Server said it is set for Automatic ans is running.
If it is running I can not see it in Windows7 or on my PS3. Windows is set for "Turn on for network discovery".
I am at a loss

Runs for me fine on Windows 7. I run it everyday and don't have any problems. Try uninstalling, restarting, and reinstalling. If that doesn't work try a program like Tuneup Utilities 1 click system maintenance and it will fix any problems with registry files, shortcuts, etc. that might be causing the problem.

I had the same issue on a fresh install of Windows 7. I solved it by uninstalling PMS and Java, then run CCleaner. After that re-Install first Java and then PMS.
