Hi everyone! I have a question, i have a ACER Aspire with 1.73Ghz and 512mb DDR2. Can i run this BETA to stream my videos on PS3? Thank you

Yes, but you can pretty much forget streaming anything in HD quality. Normal quality Xvids/divx and mpeg should be fine though.

Streaming HD should be fine [hardly uses any resources], transcoding HD is a big fat no though.

Yeah you are right. But pretty much everything needs transcoding. I cannot use Tsmuxer a lot because of non hardcoded subs. Or because of a non supported audio stream. ;)

non supported audio stream should not be a problem anymore (I'm streaming H264 with vorbis audio for example)
Now that the DTS problem is solved, the remaining ps3 big issues are the subtitles, and the 4.1 profile not always respected
(also, VC1 support maybe)

Thank you for answer my question. The subtitles work too when i stream a avi. file for example?

I haven't any sample, so good question :)
I guess so, the frame size seems the same that the DTS one, so it should work the same way

I can confirm PS3MS transcodes DTS-ES to AC3 5.1.

MKV2VOB patches it though - And it works on the PS3 :)
