thanks guys and shagrath!! seems to work very well!!

but all movies are still showing as avc, and saying corrupt data,

any chance you will change it back to where they were all showing up as mpeg?

everythignworked with out going to transcode folder when they all said mpeg!!

Just uncheck the option use tsmuxer for avc [bunch of file types..] in mencoder transcoder options menu to default back to the old way.

sorry tomei but i do not see that selection on my media server 1.10?

i am using windows btw, and do not see an option to use tsmuxer for avc...


any help would be appreciated!!

j2048b, you still haven't understand you need to play your m4v from the transcoded folder, or force the m4v extension in the transcoding settings

Shagrath i guess i do not understand this because with versions 1-1.03 i DID NOT NEED TO TRANSCODE MY m4v's at all

how do i set it up to force transcoding of m4v? is it under the common transcode settings on the bottom of the page?

do i label it .m4v, or just m4v, ?

between 1.0 and 1.04, I changed m4v from ps3's incompatible video to compatible video
so if your m4v is not playing, you have to force the transcode into #transcoded# folder

I did that because the rule I choosed for videos streaming is "if ps3 can play it, then it's not transcoded by default".. OR a lot of m4v are playable without transcode by ps3 (like AVI for example)

I installed the 1.10 beta and it is wonderful. Watched 2 movies back to back with full 1.5 DTS and it worked perfectly. BTW, shagrath, if i have a blu-ray in a m2ts container and it has PCM 5.1 lossless audio, will that work on the ps3 if im using a HDMI receiver? Also, any thoughts about forcing movies to use a certain method (like forcing TSRemux on a .ts file by naming it movie.tsremux.ts)?

Thanks so much, I only had problems with 1 movie that worked perfectly fine in 1.03 but doesnt work in 1.10 beta, every other movie works fine. When i get back to that house ill get a debug.log to post up.

FREAKING AWESOME!!! EVERY M4V NOW SHOWS UP AS MPEG-2 AND PLAYS FLAWLESSLY!!! NO STUTTERING, NO AUDIO OUT OF SYNC!!

WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE A BIT OF FORCEING MAKES


MAYBE YOU WANT TO ADD THIS INTO THE INSTRUCTIONS? IT WOULD HELP A LOT OF PEOPLE OUT WITH NO EXPERIENCE?

the one issue i have encountered is this:

when this new option is checked:

switch to tsmuxer when h264 video is ps3 compatible and there's no configured subs

i get no sound at all!!!

when i uncheck it then the sound comes back!!

bug maybe?
