Functionality of the PS3 Media Server

I have searched but have not found a functionality description of the PS3 Media Server, therefore I have some questions. Sorry if I have overlooked the description.

I am wondering about buying a PS3 and one reason for this is to show my own pictures and movies from pc on TV.

1) Does the PS3 Media Server support rateing of pictures so I for example can see only the pictures with 3 stars?
2) Does the PS3 Media Server support showing only pictures that have a given caption?
3) Does the PS3 Media Server support the Canon 5D MK II movie format (H.264 in a .MOV container as I been told)?

3) Yes, you can always use transcode if direct stream will not funcion for you

Why 1 is not possible? PS3 don't support it.
Why 2 is not possible? PS3 don't support it. It will show all what PMS will send to PS3 so if PMS will filter it by own, then yes, but for now PMS don't support it.

Don't forget, the PS3 had a big Firmware update not long ago to add massive functionality around photos and I'm sure what you are asking is possible direct from the PS3's XMB...

You can't use this new PS3 software with streamed content. Also tell me how you can rate e.g. photos from XMB?
New PS3 software can only sort photos depending on colors, smiles, exif info, age, number of persons, landscapes etc. There is no user-wish-request possible.
