I have copied already 5 different files (size between 300MB 'til 4.3GB). The copy process takes a lot of time but it's worth it - the files play flawlessly afterwards. Very good!

Is that HD films? I though HD content would end up being a lot bigger than that?

What settings did you use? I went with 0 limit on bandwith and lossless, crazy bitrate. Tried a 2gb mkv and it took about 3h to copy 8gb, and it wasn't finished! I aborted at that time.

If your video not shutter when played on PS3, then copy time will be shorter than play time of video. If will little bit shutter, then copy will take a little bit more. But 3hours? You are using wired or wireless? 3hours on e.g. 1:30hour movie is weired...

@Martink78 - Yes - mkv-files in HD (720p) - yes, they end up bigger than the original mkv-file.

@EnDumEn - I set the Bandwith to 0 and the quality to Good WiFi quality (can't remember the numbers within the settings - I choosen the best Wireless Setting).

The strange thing I have realized is, that it creates a folder with the original filename and in there are two or even 3 different files with different sizes. Can't remember the 3rd file that was created, but the other two are:

MEncoder
TsMuxer

Usualy one file is much bigger than the other - but both files I can play then on the PS3 - no sound/picture Quality difference and therefore I keep the smaller file and delete the bigger one.

I have no idea, why it will create more than one file...

Also for me it takes longer than the movie/clip goes. Maybe it's because it's copy too much data - as I wrote before, It will create not just one file - it creates different files with different sizes. Maybe that's the problem... Don't know why...

So the 4.3Gb file you mentioned before was a full lenght movie?

What level do you copy on? I don't have my ps3 here (I guess my boss would not like it ) but I guess it would make sence to create three different files if you copy on the top level (top level meaning the directory with just the movie/file name) as it contains 'files' for each transcoder (so you would get one file for each transcoder).
If you just copy on the 'file' level where you have the filename and transcoder name I would expect just one file, unless it is splitting it to bypass some file size restrictions.

Yeah - you are correct - I go into the folder Transcoding or Encoding (also don't have my PS3 in the office... -> and in there I was always copying the folder. In this folder are the different files.

So actually I just can go into the folder and just copy one of the files (TsMuxer for example).

Could it be - with the streaming, that it also streams more than one file and that's why it needs so much bandwidth that it's stutters?...

No, if you stream the file that is not in the transcoding folder, Mencoder is used by default unless you have chosen otherwise.
