Any chance you could release the newer MEncoder version to try with OSX. Never had any windows problems with MEncoder, but crashes every time with OSX. thanks

Can't seem to find any difference what so ever with this one. That's a good thing, i guess! ;)

I tried it with transcoding a Divx with .srt file. It worked for 2 movies, the 3rd one the playstation reported corrupt data. After this the entire media server was unresponsive. When i tried contacting the server, it wasn't responding to pings.

When i reboot the server (Windows Home Server) and logged on to the desktop it reported that memcoder_mt had crashed.

I replaced the modified version with the 1.03 version and i am going to try this again.

Well, as I hadn't any single problems with it, I've included it in 1.04, so be it :)

I will often post new builds here so stay tuned (I've already built one from yesterday mplayer's SVN)

worse mencoder quality compared to pms 1.02 version

Postby mikele » Thu Feb 05, 2009 5:44 am

I have worse mencoder quality compared to 1.02 version. mencoder (not mt) 0.0.9.0 from pms 1.02 is 14.4MB and give splendid full quality, mencoder (not mt) 0.0.9.0 from pms 1.04 is 13.6MB and give very worse quality with artefact on shadow and dark scene. Tried with "Aliens Vs Predator - Requiem"- x264 720p DD5.1 Bluray-rip.

so , you are using the two versions, and when you switch those, you can actually see differences ? (just trying to know if your video is not badly encoded in the first place)

this build (and the previous ones) doesn't support multithread VC1 decoding. CoreAVC is the only solution for that I think

Except that CoreAVC doesn't support VC1. It supports AVC1 (read AVC 1, not A VC1).
Gorgeous, delicious, deculture!
