I have a question for you, i have recently installed uShare (linux) on my Linksys router (DD-WRT linux) and it is now serving as DLNA server!
Of course, the slow CPU in the router (~250mhz) cant do any transcoding so it will only server files that PS3 can play natevly like avi, divx (god, it would be a dream if Sony would add MKV, or atleast DivX certification, so that we can just purely stream MKV files!).
It works good as much as i ve tried it, my question to you is, is it possible to install PMS on a little linux router? Of course not the transcoding parts, but as uShare the DLNA part?
That would be a nice thing, as an addition.
Its really cool being able to shut down the computers, and only have the router and a USB or NAS running and streaming it all to the PS3 like with uShare. I know recent NAS have DLNA built in, but still.
