Streaming to PC?

Postby Elettrone » Fri May 22, 2009 11:55 am

Before anything else i'll say i'm a noob to PS3 media Server, now what i need to know is if it is possible to stream to other devices other than a PS3, such as networked PCs etc.
Before this program i tried TVersity and it was a pain in the ass, unstable and crappy while this one really surprised me, it is great and i would like to use it to stream to every PC in my LAN.
Thank you.

Thanks but being a noob in the streaming scene i find that post kinda difficult to comprehend.
They are talking about streaming to a TV while all i want is to stream to PCs clients such as VLC and Mplayer and PS3 at the same time.
Maybe this program doesnt fit my needs?

Same thing.
You have to hack a conf file for the specific media renderer you want to use.
Look at the "renderers" directory for currently supported devices and their confs.
Use one of them as a starting point.
You should take a look at the debug log to see how the device identifies itself to PMS.
