Two ps3's, one failed to detect.

Postby BruceBanner » Sat Jan 31, 2015 9:56 pm

So i have two Ps3's in my home, been using the PMS for years so am fairly familiar with it. This morning one of my PS3's failed to gain access to media servers (big red cross on the Status page). I booted up the second PS3 and got a green tick for that one, so used that one.

Why did one ps3 fail to gain access and the other one suceeded? I can confirm the one that failed this morning has connected successfully many many times before...

Here's the log (should show the fail one first, and then the successful connection after).

Is it something to do with once it's connected to one ps3 you have to 'clear' something so that it can 'see' the other one again in future? I haven't been long at using two Ps3's...

PS Both ps3's are wired connected, not wireless.

It's odd... because it was working fine between two ps3's for awhile..

I might uninstall and reinstall PMS... see if that resolves it, even temporarily.

Might try pulling ethernet cable out of modem back in again, stuff like that. Lemme know if u find anything that works, because as of right now only one PS3 can be a media server :'(
