Just thought I might toss an idea out there. This app runs great but it would be nice if I could leave it running as a daemon and then launch a GUI pointed at that machine to configure it. Basically take the current app and split it in to two applications?

See this topic about the webui, it solved all user-cases if were implemented in a future. For now standalone "fat" GUI is only option.
