The FW 2.20 MP4 bug (?)

I don't know if this has been asked before, I couldn't really find it. Before fw 2.20 the MP4 videos where streaming just fine wirelessly. Then then the same videos started to have a stuttering problem unless the PS3 and the Mac were both wired. I saw that PMS in a way has less problems than Medialink (for OSX). Does anyone know in this forum what Sony did to make them unplayable? It's more like a technical curiosity. It shouldn't be the bitrate because I have some small low res videos that just can't stream fine. Any idea?

If I remember correctly, it was believed to be a change in the way the PS3 buffers media on the wifi NIC.

Since this isn't a bug/issue with PMS, I'm moving it to the General Discussion section of the forum.
