upgrading PMS version

I have an older version of the PMS and I want to update to the most current build. I've downloaded the .exe but will it just install over the current version or will I have two versions installed on my PC. I tried to find instructions on how to upgrade but have not found anything yet. Thank you in advance anyone for helping.

The FAQ lists the file locations for the PMS.conf/WEB.conf/etc if you want to backup from the old location (if your old version is that old), and it's pretty easy to test out whether or not you can install over an existing version.
