Am I out of luck if I want thumbnails for DVD ISOs ?

I have been trying to get thumbnails to work with my content lately (DVDs ripped to the hard drive via DVDFab DVD Copy) and have had just no luck. I know that most people encode their movies to a single file like a mkv and the thumbnails just reference that file name. But If I don't want to do that is it possible to get thumbnails to work with an ISO like I have?
