AFAIK, Samsung TVs do not support VOBs and ISOs.
One possibility you have is:
- to extract VOBs from ISOs using 7ZIP
- to convert VOBs to ts using MPEG Streamclip
Google will help further if necessary.
Edit: Of course, I assume that your VOBs and ISOs are not copy-protected.

@jjj:
It seems you don't understand what PMS is and how it works ;)
PMS can transcode files automatically when renderer(TV) doesn't support specific file format.
So no external programs for pre-conversion are not needed!!!!
Use TRANSCODE folder for non supported files! 8-)

@ExSport:
I do realize PS3MS can do transcoding - given the horsepower.
But what about Doug's question, then?
I personally remux everything to ts (whether mpeg2 or h264), which plays without hickups on my renderer. My server's CPU is not taxed unduly and can do other things.
Thanks anyway.

VOB says me SD material like 480p/576p DVD.
Transcoding of this material is doable on any HW without problems.
Transcoding of 1080p h264 video will stress hw more but not classic VOB files or img/iso files.
If IMG/ISO file is with DVD structure, PMS will send MPEG2 stream to TV so it is playable without problems.

i am trying to come up with the time to provide the necessary files and data to help you all understand what's going on and so you can see the errors. i just have not had the time since posting. work has been crazy, valentines day is coming and blah, blah, blah. it will probably be tuesday before i can post the info.
