Cannot play movies from the begining on Bravia

When i open a movie it continues playing from the point i left them the last time.
The TV even has an option to "restart", but it restarts from that said point.
This makes me think that this is pms's fault.
Using 1.20.412 on linux.

Also, seeking is slow and doesn't always work fine (specially when trying to seek to the start).

Is there an easy way to seek to the start of the movie?
Is there a way to always play from the begining?
