Samsung AllShare uPnP/DLNA

Discuss alternative media renderers (not PS3) supported by PS3 Media Server (e.g. Xbox 360, TVs &c.)

Hi djfred,

Do external subs (*.srt) work with your tv? I have the Samsung UE55C8700 but I can't get it to work. I'm using your config now. It kept loading and then skips to the next file (if any).
Can you let me know what your settings in ps3 media server it self is? Thanks!

Sub titles do not work just yet.
Its sorta a limitaion on psm. I have tried a different server and subs started to work.

Until psm changes a few things around im sad to say it might not wrk.

Too bad. I thought it would work with some transcoding or something like that..
It's clear for me now, so I won't have to try different configs.

Thanks for your answer!

Hello,

I have a problem to get my Samsung (UE46C6730USXXN) to stream any data with PS3 Server.
My TV can see my PS3 Server on my PC, but when i select for example a AVI. file I get the message "Niet ondersteund bestandstype" (No supported filetype)

Prior to this streaming I had changed the name of my TV to "Woonkamer-tv", could that be the problem?

I also had to make the renderers folder myself, shouldn't it allready be there?

In my Traces I can't find the name of my TV.
Also at Trace number 6 it states that i have a VISTA OS, but i am running Windows 7? Could this be a problem?
To much questions, when you need more info please let me know!

Re: Samsung AllShare uPnP/DLNA

Hi gentlemen,

I'm using PS3MS and a Samsung LE37C630 TV as a renderer. This works beautifully.
The one problem I have is with audio files ("Music"). The TV only currently supports mp3 files, which is not good enough for classical music.

Does anyone know whether the latest firmware supports any lossless format?

I do realize this is perhaps not the best place to post this question, but Samsung (France) aren't able to give me an answer (!), and my collection of music is entirely in FLAC format. So, if the TV were supporting, say, the WAV format, I would suggest an on-the-fly FLAC to WAV conversion.

Thanks a bunch.

@ djfred

many thanks for starting this thread.

While playing any MKV/VOB/DVD files(stored on a PC's hard drive) on Samsung LN55C650 (UserAgentSearch=SEC_HHP_TV-55C650/1.0) all I'm getting is "Not supported file format". In case of VOB I see two of each file/title and it'll jump from Title1 to Title5(last) displaying not supported file format message, will repeat it again and stops.

Here's the Samsung_C650.conf I created from your samsung_allshare.conf:

# ps3mediaserver renderer profile for samsung htb c5500
# Refer to PS3.conf for help

Here's the link to download Debug.log(in a zip file): http://rapidshare.com/files/443887995/debug-log.zip

Many thanks!
