Samsung AllShare uPnP/DLNA

Discuss alternative media renderers (not PS3) supported by PS3 Media Server (e.g. Xbox 360, TVs &c.)

Yes I've tried that, both work on the PS3 (going down into the transcode folder or playing the presented title from the root of the ISO folder. Even when I play a MKS file that works fine on my computer with VLC, nothing happens on the screen - it just sits there black.

Hi all, I'm new at this!
So I'm searching for some help.
I have an SEC_HHP_TV-40C550/1.0 http://img35.imageshack.us/f/samsungk.jpg/ but when I play most of my movie files, I get an error format not compatible.
This is my config file:
Code: Select all
# ps3mediaserver renderer profile for Samsung TV-40C550
#
#
RendererName=TV-40C550
RendererIcon=philips.png
UserAgentSearch=SEC_HHP_TV-40C550/1.0
Video=true
Audio=true
Image=true
SeekByTime=true
TranscodeVideo=MPEGAC3
TranscodeAudio=PCM
DefaultVBVBufSize=true
MuxH264ToMpegTS=true
MuxDTSToMpeg=true
WrapDTSIntoPCM=false
MuxLPCMToMpeg=false
MaxVideoBitrateMbps=25
MaxVideoWidth=0
MaxVideoHeight=0
MimeTypesChanges=audio/wav=audio/L16|video/x-matroska=video/avi
TranscodeExtensions=
StreamExtensions=mkv,mp3,mp4,avi,mov

Can someone give me a hand?

@Motorui,
That config should work. I use the same thing and i am able to play a lot of formats.

OK i noticed that all movies that i could play didn't had had external subtitles.
I erased the srt files from the folders an I could play them all!
Strange because the C550 suports .ttxt, .sml, .srt, .sub.
something in the codec configs?
anyone?

@motorui,

i personally do not care about subtitles so i myself have not tested my movies with subs.
Thats a good catch i will try and find out whats up with the conf and make changes to handle conf files.

Ill PM you when i find a solution and ill post on the First page for everybody to see.

I will get working on it right now.

Thanks

First off big thanks for all the help you have been djfred.. following the last couple pages I managed to configure my .conf file to work on my Samsung ( 40LC610 ) and all seems to be working well so a big thanks for all your hard work on that however I do have a similar question regarding subtitles I am still extremely new to this so it might be easy or something a bit more difficult.

I watch a variety of formats that use subtitles .mp4, .avi, etc but .mkv is definitely majority of them.. all my mp4 and avi files seem to run their subtitles just fine however the mkv does not show them. None of these files have any external .srt's etc I assumed they were all just hard coded onto the files but obviously this is not quite the case.

If you or anyone in this community have any idea how I might be able to get those to work I would be extremely thankful.

@EndlessBlack

No problem glad i could have been of help.
Majority of the MP4 and AVI files may have the subs hard coded into the movie itself and they might be forced.

I found a subtitle for a show that i watch i am going to be testing it pretty soon. and my subs file is a SRT also.
I will let you know what i come up with.
