I have tried applying the patch but on the latest version of the build the patch fails to apply. It appears this is still a problem in the main trunk. Has anyone applied to the latest version successfully ?

Hi. In the post it says that the patch works with SVN revision 629. It doesn't work with the latest revision. Revision 629 works for me for internet streams.

Hi Guys,

So i have my bdp-s370 working ok, PMS running on my debian server and i am in New Zealand. However it still doesn't like .MP4 files they play but i have to pause them for a few minutes every 3-4minutes otherwise they start to stutter. Any ideas on how i can fix this it never used to be an issue ??

Hi Guys

I have been reading this thread for days and I would appreciate some more help - greedy I know, given the amount of work that has already been done here :) .

I have the BDP-S370 player and would like to stream my videos to it (it is working fine with my ps3). I have also just updated the firmware of the player to M03.R.769 (not sure if it matters)

All these revisions, patches etc, it's still all greek to me. I was wondering if someone would be able to simplify what I should be doing in order to get my player to play mt video files properly?

I have downloaded a various number of patches but at the end of it all I am still lost. Once again the help is much appreciated.

Just use the current version of PMS, no patches necessary. All this stuff has already been incorporated into the main program :) .

Hi infidel. Thank you for your reply. I failed to mention that I am already running version 1.5.0.0 (windows version).

Unfortunately I still get the issue whereby the player can see the files on the network but when attempting to play it I get the dreaded 'data is corrupted etc' message. All of which play fine on the ps3. Did I miss something since as you say, all this stuff has already been incorporated.

Thanks again

I don't know, but I definitely missed something in my previous answer. If you're not in the US, you need to edit renderers\SonyBluray.conf to get playback working for some formats (see down towards the bottom):

Code: Select all
######### NON-US MODELS: CHANGE THE FOLLOWING 2 MIME-TYPES TO m:video/divx
Supported = f:avi|divx   v:divx|mp4   a:ac3|lpcm|mpa|mp3   m:video/mpeg
Supported = f:mkv   v:mp4|divx|h264   a:ac3|dts|dtshd|truehd|aac|lpcm|mpa|mp3   m:video/vnd.dlna.mpeg-tts

I have this same player/firmware and it works for me.

Hi Infidel, I checked my existing conf file and it already has those settings in it. Sigh. :P

So you're in the US and nothing at all plays? Try restarting PMS, then do a sony-bluray-only session with playback failures and attach your debug.log+SonyBluray.conf as a zip; maybe that will show something.

Hi Infidel, sorry I should have been clearer. I am not in the US - Australia actually.
In any case I played around a little bit more and it seems that m2ts files play fine in general on the but mkv files do not - from what I have tested so far anyway.
I am doing more testing so i can find the middle ground in file format so both the ps3 and the bluray player can play them.

Was this your experience with your player as well? Thanks again.
