I got PMS working for my new BDP-s370, but seek (fast-forward/reverse) feature is not working.
Does it work for anybody?

In general Fast Forward and Rewind, skip, etc., do not work well. Remember you are streaming the data. So for FF to work you are asking the network to stream it faster than it already is.

From my machine status, network bandwidth or transcoding is not the bottleneck.
It seems like that DLNA renderer does not support that feature.
Are there any format options that I can play with to get it working? like transcode to mpeg instead of streaming in h264 format?

Had the same behavior on my PS3 as well as when I got it to work on my Sony BD player. Fast forward and rewind demanding something that is difficult to provide via network streaming.

Is there anyway to debug and see FF request from BDP to my computer?

There's the debug.log file. Maybe delete it, then start PMS, try the playing the file, exit PMS and examine the file? You can also put in debug statements in the code and recompile i.e.
PMS.debug("put text here");

You could also try using wireshark to capture the network packets and examine them.

Wireshark is your friend. A really geeky, hard to talk to friend ;)

But seriously, its the best way to keep up with all the UDP messages in between the regular HTTP.

If you haven't used it before, prepare for a very steep learning curve, but it's the best tool out there for this stuff.

EDIT: Just realised grolschie already recommended it. If you needed any, there's your proof that it's good advice. ;)

Sorry I'm coming into this conversation a little late but I had bought an S570 in the hopes that it worked more like a Western Digital TV Live box and could directly access networked media. Ha. I've gotten as far as getting the latest PS3MS to show up and list all my media on the S570 but the S570 won't play anything back yet.

What possibility is there to get PS3MS to serve up FLAC music and ISO movie backups to a S570? Should I quit while I'm ahead or is there a S370/S470/S570 conf file I'm just not finding?

Thanks!
