Has anyone tried Sony blue-ray player

Discuss alternative media renderers (not PS3) supported by PS3 Media Server (e.g. Xbox 360, TVs &c.)

Has anyone tried Sony blue-ray player

Postby Kindfish » Mon May 24, 2010 4:22 pm

I have a sony blue-ray player and connected it to TV.
I want to build the connection between the player and PS3.
I can see that the blue-ray and PMS detected each other and I can also see the media resources in the TV screen.
But when I want to play the media, it displayed "file corrupted or not supported".
Because I didn't found the profile for blue-ray player in the render folder, so I use the Bravia5500.conf.
Has anyone tried blue-ray player?
Or if someone can provide the profile tailor for blue-ray player?

I have a Sony Blu-Ray player hooked up to my home network/PS3 Media Server. The model no. is BDP-S560 & has DLNA. The network connection is wired, even though this model has Wi-Fi too. PMS streams perfectly to it too, even though this model only supports .jpg's and not audio & video. Didn't need to tweak any configuration settings or anything either, just plugged in the network cable and it appeared in the XMB instantly.

Hope this helps.

P.S; try defragging your PC too. Sometimes "file not supported" is because its in need of a defrag..
