Music from PC not found on XBOX360

I've got my PC connected to my 360 but I cant see my music. I can see my video files tho'.
I have moved my music to C:\Documents and Settings\Pete\My Documents\My Music and it still can't see them.
My music is in .MP3 format. I have converted one to .WMV and .m4a and they can't be found either? What format should my music be in for my 360 to be able to see them and where should they be, I have listed the location in the shared folders locations too.

Hi, Pete,
I think you need to have the media cache (or media library) option enabled. This is due the Xbox360 wanting the Audio in a particular structure, for which you require a database query. In plain english, the media library makes it possible to return a container structure as artist, playlist, etc.

If you mean under 'Navigation/Parsing Settings' then, yes it is enabled and I stil cant see any music.
I have even specified where the music is in the shared folders list.
I have since had to reinsall my OS so its clean.
I just dont know what to do?
