Any way to get this to work with Roku's DVP? They released their SDK to use for free. I really don't feel like re-encoding all my media files to get them to work with roku.

PS3 Media Server tries to be an UPNP A/V Media Server, or DLNA server. I could not find if the Roku SD or HD are a typical UPNP A/V Media Renderer, so I will assume the are not.
It looks like you can add "private channels" via the SDK you have stated. If that is the case, then somebody needs to create a DLNA client for the Roku. Some people have done something similar to that, but still not right:
I would suggest to ask in the Roku forums.

I've checked out the Github information on the link provided - this is still a very kludgy way to get local PC videos to the Roku. Anyone come across an easier or more elegant way to stream vids from a PC without having to convert your library?

Was hoping to find some way to utilize the great PS3 Media Server program - which transcodes on the fly - to deliver to the Roku.

as el.botijo already mentioned before ... if roku dvp isn't capable of dlna / upnp av standards it is NOT COMPATIBLE with PMS
feel free to write an dlna / upnp av client for this device using sdk but don't expect PMS guys to do that ;)
I provide NO application support via PM, so please post your question to the forum.

Interesting post this one: ... nt#p156090
January 2010, and Roku cannot implement UPNP server discovery via its SDK. So it cannot contact PS3MediaServer.
Remember that promises can be broken.
