They're working perfectly fine on a Samsung LA32D550 on PMS 1.50.1 with the standard configuration.
The only entry to edit for native subs is in the SamsungAllShare.conf file:
- Code: Select all
# SubtitleHttpHeader: Some devices recognize a custom HTTP header for
# retrieving the contents of a subtitles file. Set this option to the name of
# that custom header and PMS will send the URL for the subtitles file in that
# header (e.g. Samsung devices recognize the "CaptionInfo.sec" header).
# Default value is "", which means PMS will not send such header information.
SubtitleHttpHeader=CaptionInfo.sec
Perhaps D8000 models use a different SubtitleHttpHeader? Anyways, this won't be easy to fix unless somebody is willing to gather debug information. I suppose the 1st step is to take a WireShark capture on PMS and another with Samsungs streaming software then post them here. See the
original post for an example of what the capture should look like.
Some more questions:
[*]Does the TV show as Samsung AllShare under the Status tab?
[*]Does the file show as "MovieName{ExternalSubtitles}" or is the {ExternalSubtitles} part missing?
[*]Are you using .SRT subs only? Does the video contain any embedded subs?
