Sony HBD-N990W

Hi guys, newb here.
I have previously been using pms with my ps3 and its all gone well so far, however have tried to set it up with the Sony HBDN990W and pms picks up the unit fine, however upon playback of any format, it freezes prior to loading the movies.

Any ideas? I've read through some theories, however nothing mentions the above unit directly so have been reluctant to try.
