PMS and Sony BDV-E880

I have been trying to play files via PMS + wired connection to this Home Theatre system. A lot of the files work fine, but sometimes files just stop and become corrupted or crash whenever I press Forward. Are there any settings I should use for this Home Theatre system? Is there any add-on or plugin for this range of Home Theatre Systems?
