Panasonic DMP-BD87

Postby ddirpaul » Fri Apr 27, 2012 6:54 pm

This Bluray player is a great device. It does great rendering, however, no DIVX. None! I know, right?....... MKV, h.264, but no DIVX/XVID. Can anyone tell me how I can force the PMS to transcode everything to h.264. The server has a E5607 Processor and ATI Radeon 6670, so no slouch for hardware and transcoding? Any ideas?

Transcoding to h264 is not currently supported.
I provide NO application support via PM or email, so please post your question to the forum per the Forum Rules.

Doesn't the DMP-BD line of BluRay players support Mpeg-ts ? Which MEncoder does quite well.

If it doesn't support DivX/Xvid , why not try forcing .avi filetypes to transcode by entering it into the Force Transcoding of the Following Extensions box on the Common Transcode Settings tab.

See if that sends a compliant stream to your BluRay player.
