Discuss alternative media renderers (not PS3) supported by PS3 Media Server (e.g. Xbox 360, TVs &c.)

Sony Bravia KDL-46EX725

Hi!

Just bought a Sony Bravia KDL-46EX725 (with latest firmware) and tried to stream my TV recordings with ps3mediaserver (1.52.1).

I have an Opensuse 11.4 Linux server, with a DVD-S TV Card in it, running VDR 1.7x. I use this as my PVR since 2 years now and it works very well. The recordings are *.TS files. I rund my ps3mediaserver on the same machine. Before I got my new TV I used my PS3 as a streaming client and could stream these TS files without any modifications to the ps3mediaserver configuration.

This still works but certainly I would prefer to use my new TV as a streaming client. ps3mediaserver correctly recognises my TV as a BraviaEX renderer - I can browse my directories and select a movie. But after that, my screen keeps being black and nothing happens. In the logfile I always see the following errors:

Code: Select all
INFO  2012-04-15 08:39:38.383 [tsMuxeR-3] Process /local/ps3ms/linux/tsMuxeR has a return code of 254! Maybe an error occurred... check the log file

INFO  2012-04-15 08:40:09.707 [tsMuxeR-20] Process /local/ps3ms/linux/tsMuxeR has a return code of 254! Maybe an error occurred... check the log file

ERROR 2012-04-15 08:41:33.160 [mencoder-56] Fatal error in process initialization:
INFO  2012-04-15 08:46:30.196 [tsMuxeR-108] Process /local/ps3ms/linux/tsMuxeR has a return code of 253! Maybe an error occurred... check the log file

My first thought was about corrupt dependencies in my linux installation, so I installed ps3mediaserver on my Macbook, which produced exactly the same errors.
Does anyone have a working renderer conf file for my new TV?

Please help!

Cheers,
Joern

Update: Sony Bravia KDL-46EX725

I just played around and changed the order for my video engines (now mencoder first and tsmuxer second) and now my TV shows all videos.
The only thing to mention is, that now sometimes audio is not in sync (what I never had before).
