Same here. Upgraded from 1.50.1. Using android 4+bubble upnp to play stuff.

And in 1.52.1 it never shows up as a renderer. I only get
[Thread-15] INFO 04:40:45.947 No IP filter specified, access granted to /192.168.1.127

But bubble upnp never shows up in the devices.

I wanted to upgrade since transcoding seems to be broken in 1.50.1 for me.

I get some buffer overrun error that I cannot find a solution for. It starts to buffer up then buffer gets into negative numbers and I get a stack trace...

I would like to see the debug.log from 1.50.1 and 1.52.1 side.
Hopefully it will shed some light on what changed.

I think this is it... from the new one (1.52.1). Will report further. I guess this should be all you need. If not post and I will get the entire debuglog though it feels a bit uncomfortable considering the info. Also from the logs it seems pms is detecting software on my pc. Might be there is a problem with that when it comes to transcode?

The old one on the same op:
[main] INFO 02:02:19.559 Using the following UUID configured in PMS.conf: 130b4edb-bb64-3ddf-a73e-02eff2c7fdc9

[main] INFO 02:02:23.817 The server should now appear on your renderer

After this I can list files.

Anyway, the transcode problem with 1.50.1 might not even be relevant anymore and is offtopic here. Maybe you can point me over where to post it, make a new thread or something? That buffer overflow thing is mighty weird. I got plenty of ram, good cpu etc.

No, it appears not to be transcoding.
That NullPointerException indicates that there is no listener in UPNPHelper.java.
We need to discover how that can happen in order to solve this problem. The listener takes care of the communication between Android and PMS.

Yes it does not come to that. Can't even list the files.

But it fails @ transcoding using 1.50.1

Though that does not belong in this topic.

I have galaxy s II and I sometimes cant stream video. Music and pictures are ok. I use bubble upnp and MXvideo. Ps3 media server says transcoding buffer status -99,701,..... and peak bitrate 781,24 mb/s.
What is the problem?

After running into problems with version 1.53, I went back and tested previous versions. I have found that releases after 1.50.0 have had problems streaming to Android. Videos that did not require transcoding with 1.50.0 are now marked as requiring transcoding and there is an StringIndexOutOfBoundsException with HTTP Engine V2. I am using BubbleUPNP and MX Player to test.

Edit: With 1.50.0, the same error still appears, but does not hinder streaming unless transcoding is required. In previous verions of PMS, the BubbleUPNP and MX Player would appear as separate devices (one Airplay and one something else, maybe unknown), while in 1.50.0, they appear as one address, marked Android.
