Dlink D-link DSM-510 DLNA Profile (Add to list of .conf)

Got to like DLNA clients and servers.

I have this Upnp client renderer, Dlink DSM 510 which is different from 320/520 models and wanted to share the currently used profile. Also wanted to see if this profile can be added to list of PMS installs (right now, its using WD live icon but that can change once its added to the list) I would suggest wired/wireless-N connection with this box.

I will certainly initiate the first step by attaching the Dlink510.conf

P.S. The DSM-510 is an Intel Viiv technology verified High-Definition Media Player and DLNA 1.5 compliant

Since I see so many views and few downloads..here is sample PMS.conf for those users..you will have to edit the conf file for folders and/or plugins and all the related path changes as I have plugins (i.e jumpy, tv_plug, mm_plugin, pmsencoder, gs_plugin and sqlite-jdbc) For Jumpy you need XBMC addons installed on your laptop which is another great player.

These settings works fine for wireless-N home network except very few exceptions...tweaking is always an option for each user which I like about PS3 Media server.

We cannot integrate the Dlink510.conf in PMS as it is now, you have the following UserAgentSearch:

UserAgentSearch=DLNADOC/1.50

This value is way too generic. Most of the renderers use the exact same header.
Try finding some more specific headers like the FAQ suggests.

Ya thats generic as I did not revert it back to more exact User Agent to:

I just wanted to initiate the way to include this profile for could-be users out there...else I just copy it over for my own use.. seems like I forgot to revert it back to exact match as I tested the configuration using locally installed XBMC client as renderer + PS3 as Upnp Server...excuse the oversight.

I am sure that exact match would limit it to D-link DSM only and its inclusion to list of renderers would be a plus.

Yes, that is much better and indeed currently unique.
It's a close shave with the WDTVLive.conf, though:
