Hey guys! Been using PS3 Media Server for some time. Works well over my setup (Win Home Server running PS3 MS wirelessly). Can stream thru to an XBR9 Sony TV and PS3 with no issues with multiple file types. Now, needed to get wireless going in another room and found a cool little gadget Sony had just launched (network media player (SMP-N100)). Figured it would be a snap and work as well too, right? Wrong!! Oh, it can see the PS3MS and I can browse to all the files. However, every time I select one, all I get is a corrupt file error. Mind you, these are the same files which work on the PS3 and XBR9 TV.
Now, as I'm a bit of a do it yourselfer, I tried to follow the instructions here (
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=8424&p=45913&hilit=n100#p45913), as it looked like someone else was having the same trouble with the same device. Sounds like I needed to create a conf file, right? (I have no idea what that is...

) So, I copied the PS3 version, reviewed the log file, made the changes, and...nothing. Nada. No difference. Then, deleted that file, copied the Bravia5500 one (guessed that that was what my XBR9 was using, could be wrong), made the same changes and...nothing. Clearly I'm missing something here. My fellow SMP'er at the link above seems to have given up (no more posts). I'm hopeful that the group here can get me going.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!
P.S. To all...Keep up the GREAT work. It IS appreciated!!!
