LG LD550

Discuss alternative media renderers (not PS3) supported by PS3 Media Server (e.g. Xbox 360, TVs &c.)

LG LD550

Postby shiphtfour » Sun Feb 27, 2011 7:24 am

I am wondering if it is possible to get my LG 42LD550 to work with PS3 Media Server? When I access the server from my TV, the folders are empty. I tried using a config file suggested in a topic for the LD650 and changing it to LD550, but that did not work. Any suggestions?

I can get the files to show up now, but I can only get AVIs to play, even though the TV supports MKV. It seems like anything getting encoded/transcoded will not play. Anyone have any luck with dlna capable LG products?

Windows 7. Were you able to get mkvs working? Please post your config file if you don't mind.

I use Linux (ubuntu 10.10) and I just downloaded the the version for that. I had to reinstall it after an upgrade of ffmpeg.

I have the LG LV5500 and have it working with Ubuntu10.10 and Windows Vista laptop. My setup is all default. Make sure the folders are not too deep in the tree. All of my folders are C:/home/media/movies or C:/home/media/photos or C:/home/media/videos.

With the newest versions, mkvs now work with the default setup, but I still cannot get everything to play. I cannot get PS3MS to transcode DTS audio correctly so that the TV plays the file, and there are still a few video codecs that don't seem to be working either.
