The subtitles which pms detects by default are being used; AFAIK these are only the ones named <filename>.srt. Changing the mechanism in the original pms code to detect the language by adding a suffix might be done e.g. <filename>.en.srt.
For now the only solution is to change it in the DB, which is a pain. You have to find the film you want in the VIDEO table, get its FILEID, find the subtitles in the SUBTITLES table and edit the column LANG...

Oh oke.. Well, i guess i can just add it to the filename..and then use %filename instead of %name in the nameconvention.

Hi,

I've just found this version of pms recently and gave it a try. Everything works fine with video, but I doesn't work with pictures. On shared folders from Navigation/Share Settings, I've added a folder with pictures, but when I choose Pictures on the PS3, it says I have no pictures.

What am I doing wrong?

You don't do anything wrong, only videos are currently supported with the media library. If you want to see your pictures like the original pms shoes them, you can add a 'File system' folder and point it to a folder containing pictures
If you always wanted to have your most recent videos at the top of the folder in the ps3 or wished you could group all videos with the same genre in one folder, have a look at pms-mlx

I have not used this personally (my friends bug me that PMS lacks this feature) but I think this project could be aided by the FolderLimit workaround that is part of SHB. I just made it recursive so there is no limit anymore :)

Released version 0.5

Merged with pms version 1.40
Improved file parsing (it is now configurable in FileParsingRenderer.conf if medfiainfo or ffmpeg will be used)
Minor bug fixes and improvments (thanks zombi)

Always happy to see an update to this great plugin. Thanks!

EDIT:
I have a question about displaying thumbnail covers for each of the videos. I just enabled TMDb support and then scanned my video directory. It downloaded covers for these files and placed them in: C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\PMS\pictures

Then under Media Library, Tree I have it set to use:
Thumbnail
#1 Cover

However, these new thumbnails don't come up and the default PMS icon is displayed. I can set a custom picture which is then displayed for all files, but I can't seem to get the individual covers to show up. I feel like I'm missing something here...

Oh, and I noticed that with TMDb support enabled and I hit scan on one of the folders being managed, it'll re-download the cover for every file again. If I don't have it enabled, it'll still scan through every file again but this happens extremely quickly. Is it possible to skip files already in the db?

I'd like to move on and add additional features, this time it's only been a merge. Thanks for the heads up :)
Did you change the folder where the pictures are being stored after having done a scan? For now this mechanism is pretty stupid and doesn't copy any files when it's being changed.
And yes, the covers will be re-downloaded even if they exist (for now). Files already in the db shouldn't be updated or altered in any other way, if their name/path hasn't changed.

Nope, I don't think I changed the path. Under General, "pictures save folder path" is set to: C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\PMS\pictures\ All the cover art is stored there. Then under Tree, the properties of the video directory is set to use just "Cover" under the Thumbnail section. All directories under this root directory are set to inherit this.

Hmm, never had problems with this feature. It has been around for quite some time and I don't remember exactly how it has been implemented. I'll have to check the code to see if you can get some useful info from the logs.
