I wanted to thank everyone who has worked on the code for this project. My respect goes out to you. I however have purchased a networked media streamer with an internal hard drive. I need something that works, works so my family can use it reliably and simply. The hardware solution was the most practical. By adding my own hard drive to it, cost was around 100 bucks. Works even with bluray iso's, music, etc.

I leave PS3Mediaserver behind but do so with the utmost respect for those working on the project.

Here's what I picked up on one of those Newegg specials with rebate too.
