Re: PS3MS latest builds

The latest version I have tried is 620 after previously using 1.10.51.
Using the previous version I had to cancel scanning my shared music folder (300GB) after 4 days 24/7 and was unable to use the media library features. This new version completed the entire scan in about 5mins!
Brilliant. Thanks for all the work going into this project it's most appreciated.

unable to access jarfile.pms.jar

Got that error when trying to launch the latest beta of PMS after a reboot of the fileserver without shutting PMS down first.

620 version:

media library scan fast (10-15 minutes versus hours)
database size ~1/10th the size of 10.51 version
access to photos fast (outside of library - didn't check within library)

problem: much of my music library does not show up when accessed through the library (via artist view, or letter view); maybe 10% of the material is there

it appears that there is some bug in the media library creation algorithm

Why don't you just let it play DTS?

I can't think of any benefits to letting it convert to PCM from DTS.

Hello.

When I use the trancode folder for some of the WMV and MKV files wich won't play on my PS3 directly (one no picture, the other no sound) the PMS wil play them for about 2 seconds and then the program shuts down.

I use the latest build 1.10.625

memory issue probably. reduce the buffer size, or check your available RAM

Oke, thnx, I will reduce the buffer size, i have not many serveses active when i stream so the should be enough ram availeble, but i will check it.

My server is a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ 2.60 GHz with 4 Gig. of memory

I have the same issue with files not appearing in the media library (in genres most notably in my case.)
