I tested The.Walking.Dead.S02E04.Cherokee.Rose.720p.WEB-DL.AAC2.0.H.264-CtrlHD and it works for me. Audio is perfectly in sync and I can't notice any frame skipping. Do you have any codec packs installed?

Hmm MEncoder is reporting "Muxer frame buffer cannot allocate memory!" for you.
Can you try uninstalling your codec packs and installing K-Lite? Not 64-bit though, just Mega.
It will take 2 restarts to do it safely; restart after uninstalling shark, then after installing k-lite.

Hey SJ,

Actually instead of messing around with my pc's codec situation, i decided to try wiping out my PMS installation completely (the folder in Program Files + programdata PMS.conf files + Mplayer stuff in %appdata%) and reinstalling SB66 in it's "vanilla" form. Now those MKVs are working fine! And I can play them using either TSMuxer or Mencoder, both are working perfectly. No framerate skipping and perfectly-synched audio.

This means there was something in my old configuration which was causing this! I'm presently going to try changing each setting one by one and see if I can isolate the setting which caused the issue.

EDIT: Found the culprit. It happens if "A/V Sync Alternative Method" is turned OFF. That setting is turned ON by default in a vanilla installation, and in that case the sync + framerate smoothness is perfectly fine. What I don't understand is why that setting will affect tsmuxer behaviour! Since it's in the MEncoder section.

Good idea. It might be a problem with an old MPlayer cache. If we find that it is, we can try removing it on install.

i always get "Muxer frame buffer cannot allocate memory!" for every file, but they still all play perfectly. i got ac3 filter, haali media splitter and divx installed.

... which is interesting because I thought it's "OK" to turn off Alternative Sync Method.

Also my experience is to untick Alternate A/V sync in all cases (MEncoder/tsMuxeR engine)
Just have to say I don't have any files with AAC audio. All are AVI(DivX), MKV(DTS/AC3/MP3), TS, M2TS, MPG etc....
